We are highly skilled in renewables and can offer combined options to our customers that can combine Solar PV, Solar Thermal and Air Source Heat Pump Technology for them to all work together to provide the biggest impact on not only the environment but your energy bills. We offer bespoke options and packages to make sure the solution is the best fit for your circumstance.
The basic principles of solar thermal technology are fairly straightforward, but in practice, designing a system that efficiently captures the sun’s energy and turns it into hot water, requires advanced technology. Solar panel installations are the first step in this process, whereby solar energy is captured and transferred into a usable resource. Solar thermal domestic hot water systems work by collectors on the roof, absorbing the radiated energy from the sun. This energy heats the fluid which is pumped around a sealed circuit, through the collectors and into a coil within a specially designed hot water cylinder. The hot water is then stored in the cylinder until it’s needed.
All our installers at FDG group are all our own installers so we can make sure that the quality is consistant from every installation to the next. Our senior team have over 125 years of experience combined in the field and are qualified in all areas of the service and products we offer.
At FDG Group we are always looking for the best in class technology from our Partners and suppliers to provide to our customers. We are an Vaillant Advance PRO Installer and this status will make sure you receive a 10 Years warranty. The full Vaillant system makes sure the system is at its highest efficiency level.
A solar thermal system uses the energy from the sun to heat up water to use in the home. Solar thermal panels are not to be confused with solar panels, which use the energy from the sun tp generate electricity. As such, solar panels and solar thermals are two very different technologies.
How It Works?Concentrated solar thermal (CST) technology harnesses the sun’s power to generate electricity. It uses lenses and reflectors to concentrate sunlight, heating a fluid such as water or oil and producing steam to drive a turbine.
